Saturday 9 March 2013
The 8th Annual Conference was held on Saturday 9th March 2013 and was hosted by The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy at the Tottenham Hotspur Football Stadium.
The London Centre was particularly pleased to host this year’s event as 2013 marked the 25th Anniversary of providing Conductive Education at its Centre in Muswell Hill, North London. A number of delegates helped kick off the conference by attending a cheese and wine get together at the London Centre on the evening before.
Approximately 180 delegates from across the UK attended the Conference which had a wide variety of presentations available ranging from Visual Impairment and Communication, Occupational Therapy within Conductive Education to the Use of I pads in the Classroom and the Nintendo Wii and People with Parkinson’s – all of which proved to be popular! We would like to thank all the presenters for their willingness, their time and their hard work in providing such an array of interesting and informative topics.
The London Centre would also like to thank its sponsors – The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Kingsley Napley, Bombach Seating Ltd and G & S Smirthwaite for their generosity and support without which it would not have been able to host this year’s event.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone who helped to make the day such an enjoyable and successful one and we look forward eagerly to the 2014 Conference which is being hosted by the National Institute for Conductive Education, Birmingham.
