Saturday 17 March 2012
Delegates gathered at The Best Western Premier Leyland Hotel, Leyland, Preston for CEPEG's 7th annual conference on Saturday 17th March 2012.
The conference was hosted by The Legacy Rainbow House in Chorley.
On the Friday evening the delegates were welcomed to a cheese and wine evening at the Legacy Rainbow House’s purpose-built premises in the heart of the Lancashire countryside. Visitors were given an opportunity to explore the excellent indoor and outdoor facilities that the charity has to offer.
On Saturday over 220 delegates arrived at The Best Western Hotel in Leyland. The theme of the conference was ‘TEAM’ (Together Everyone Achieves More). A wide range of individuals (conductors, rebound therapists, osteopath, service users etc...) spoke on a fascinating array of topics including practical classroom approaches, learning theories, alternative interventions and drama studies. A workshop was also held on collaborative working and discussions held on a CE research agenda providing valuable opportunities for dialogue between the wide number and range of services that were represented at the conference.
As the 7th Annual CEPEG conference the event provided another successful gathering of those working within the Conductive Education community both in the UK and further afield for professional development, discussion, debate and collaboration.
Thanks go to all those who helped make the event such a success and we eagerly await the 8th Annual CEPEG conference that is to be held in March 2013 by The London Centre for Cerebral Palsy.
